I firmly believe Mr. Dwight Eubanks should replace Ms. Jay on America’s Next Top Model. He clearly knows he is a man, and he is fully aware of his sexuality. I embrace all people and their beliefs, but I have a lot of respect for Mr. Eubanks because he still dresses as a man should. His style is very sheek and professional. I watched an episode of ANTM a couple of years ago, and the contestants went to Africa. I was embarassed and angered when I saw Ms. Jay in a dress in our motherland. I know Mr. Eubanks would have never done something like that. Yes Ms. Jay is entitled to where whatever he pleases, but obviously he needs some fashion advice from Mr. Eubanks! The only thing Ms. Jay has going for him is his ability to walk better than any model. That’s is all! Mr. Eubanks has fashion going for him, professionalism, and character. I love you Mr. Eubanks!

LaVeria,
It saddens me to hear that you pit one artist (Ms. Jay) against another (Mr. Eubanks). The only thing we know about both individuals is what we see of them on TV. This isn’t a 100% accurate representation of who these individuals are. This world is full of diversity. I’m sure that Ms. Jay and Mr. Eubanks have done alot to encourage young gay men (and maybe lesbians). To make them fill like they’re not alone in this world. Just like other groups. Gay people come in different shapes, sizes, color, etc. We need to stop this, he is better then him, and she is better than her. This world is big enough for all of us. As a gay man that would identify with Mr. Eubanks. It makes me upset when people say to me, you’re not like most gay guys, and that is why I like you. Just because a person is more flamboyant shouldn’t make them less of a person, or an embarrassment. It’s doesn’t matter who would have been best represented in, “our motherland”. The fact is, they would have been treated that same. Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) rights in Africa are limited in comparison to other areas of the world, with the BBC estimating that homosexuality is outlawed in 38 African countries. In Mauritania, Sudan, and northern Nigeria, homosexuality can be punishable by death. In Uganda, “offenders” can gain a maximum of a life imprisonment for homosexual acts. We need to let people be, and stop judging. Both Ms. Jay, and Mr. Eubanks have made a name for themselves in their respective professions. Why can’t we respect both. This hatred will not stop until we do.

Isaac,

Although I understand that LaVeria’s underlying intent was to pay a huge compliment to Mr. Eubanks, I completely agree with everything you have said here. It is extremely important that we be not only tolerant, but also respectful and kind-hearted to those of ALL shapes, sizes, colors, religions, and orientations (despite their mannerisms) in an attempt to cure the hatred you have so appropriately described.

An absolutely moving synopsis though…please trust that your words have not fallen on deaf ears.

Dwight, I just want to say that I love all and everything about you. You are the most genuine person I’ve ever saw on reality tv, for the most part you tell it like it is without hurt anyone feelings or making them feel less than human. Everything about you is real and that is what I love, I wish I lived in GA just so I can be around you to enjoy your companionship and presents. I would love for your to give me few styling tips especially, when expecting baby number 3 at the age of 29, I just know I’m still sexy with belly and all (Laughing), but is very comfortable in the skin I’m in.

Dwight, I want to let you know keep up the high spirited personality you have going on, I honestly believe that is what make people love you more and more and more everyday.

Love,

Aquenia (Akeenyah)

Dwight, there were times where you saved The Real Housewives of ATL. Your advise is real, and harsh at times, but hey such is life. Love your clothes dude. Have a great 2010.
